Review: Synergy Hair Care

Apr 8th, 2012

synergy hair careby Edna Sousa
Everybody has a bad hair day now and then. Short, long, medium, kinky, straight, curly…all hair suffers from frizz, dryness, dullness or worst of all…breakage. But what we all agree on is that the way to get healthy happy hair starts with a good choice of shampoo and conditioner. But just because a product has exotic or high-end ingredients, doesn’t mean it’s the right thing for your hair. Sometimes the hair needs time to recover from harsh styling or chemical treatments.

Love or Business? – Love is Good Business

Feb 1st, 2012

love or moneyby Marilyn Tam
Have you heard this before? “Love or Business, you have to choose.” The message is direct – you have to decide what you value more, something/one you love or your work/business. Actually, there is a more factual statement – Love is Good Business.

February is the month of love. A great deal of thought and energy will be spent on expressions of love, usually for a romantic partner. The truth in the old axiom, Love makes the World Go Round, applies to all aspects of life, not only to romantic love. When you are doing what you love, you are going to be more successful in it, and you will also be happier and at peace. It’s only natural.

Reasons for Giving Thanks

Nov 22nd, 2011

by Marilyn Tam
Have you ever had this happen to you? Where it took a physical, mental or emotional detachment or even the combination, before you could see what you really had? Sometimes we only appreciate what we have when we are away from it, or more sadly, after we’ve lost it.

As a citizen by choice of the United States of America, thanksgiving was a new holiday to me. What a great holiday! A day devoted to gathering and giving thanks with loved ones and that’s all. No gifts exchange, no specific religious reasons, which may trip up one group or another, just come together to share, celebrate the harvest, eat good food and give to thanks. I can really get behind this!

What is Thanksgiving? Most cultures have a festival to give thanks for the bounty from the earth. In my ancestral country of China, we have Moon festival/Mid Autumn festival, on the eighth lunar month to celebrate the harvest and the fullest moon of the year.

Life and Beyond

Oct 9th, 2011

by Mariyn Tam
living the life of your dreamsliving the life of your dreamsThe recent death of Steve Jobs, a man who dared to dream and create beyond the constraints of the prevailing consciousness, brought many people including me to a place of deeper reflection. What does it mean to be really alive? How do I make sure that I am living my highest potential every day? How do I ensure that I will feel at peace when it is my time to leave this planet?

Since I write, speak and consult with companies and people internationally on helping them find their life mission and on establishing a path towards achieving it, this topic is especially relevant. Living the Life of Your Dreams my latest book, is directly related to this subject. Steve Jobs’ many quotes and his personal history are being mined globally for more nuggets of wisdom right now. The hunger and admiration for commitment and dedication to a higher purpose is universal.

Talk about a master spiritual practice.

The Trivedi Blessing, the Energy of Creation

Jul 10th, 2011

If you believe that all of life is made up of energy and that energy can be directed and transformed from one form to another, then consider what would happen if someone were able to conduct that energy and direct it at will.

Mahendra Kumar Trivedi is recognized by many in the scientific community as possessing that ability. He is able to transfer, or channel, a pure form of energy he calls Divine Energy and Creation Energy to plants, seeds, organisms and even other humans. The results are nothing short of amazing.

Trivedi’s energy transfers, known as blessings, are offered weekly by telephone or in-person in his public presentations. He claims that either way, the energy transfer has the same effects on the individual. Most report increased self esteem, raised confidence, less stress, better sleep, and a host of other benefits.

“Like the energy from a cell phone satellite comes to Earth and enters each cell phone, this Divine Energy enters each human through the blessing,” teaches Trivedi. “This is the creation energy. Without the existence of this energy, the creation (humans, trees, viruses) cannot exist.”

To participate in a blessing event, start by attending Mahendra Trivedi’s free webcast, where you’ll hear Trivedi speak about this energy and the scientific studies that have measured the results.

Everything is Energy…Can You Feel It? (The Trivedi Energy Transfer)

May 12th, 2011

Most of us have learned that everything is made of energy. At its essence, everything in the universe gives off a particular frequency and vibration and is made up of particles that are made up of energy vibrations. It’s said that energy cannot be created or destroyed; it merely transmutes or shifts from one form to another. We see these shifts in energy all the time in nature. But can humans learn to transmute, control or otherwise direct this energy?

How to Start Your Own Makeup Business

Apr 15th, 2011

In the old days, having a cosmetics and skincare business meant that you became a representative of some big, multi-level home-store brand, such as Avon or Mary Kay Cosmetics. The profits are greater and you have more freedom to create the products you want.

How Do I know My Diet is Working?

Jan 22nd, 2011

by Edna Sousa
When dieting, we typically just pay attention to our body size or specifically our weight. Sometimes we forget to pay attention to what we are eating or how the food helps our health. Because dieting is not just losing weight, it’s more than that. Dieting is feeling awesome, looking great, eating better. And this is the proof of the relationship between inner and out beauty.

So I’ve decided to provide a list of some great botanical ingredients you can use in your diet program that will help you lose weight, feel great, and stay health.

Dec 19th, 2010

This little public service film is a great reminder that simple acts of kindness and support can change lives and changed lives can change the world. It asks the question, “what if we all performed one act today…would that cause a spiritual revolution?”

Anyway, it’s an uplifting message that’s worth a few minutes of viewing time. You’ll feel better and you might even be inspired to “Act” more in your own life. What “one act” can you do today?

Tapping the Source

Dec 4th, 2010

Authors Bill Gladstone, John Selby and Richard Grenenger believe that we can all tap into the source on a daily basis…for wisdom, energy, peace and happiness. We all have an observing eye inside us that is watching our every move, listening to every word and observing every thought. You may become aware of it when you’re meditating. If you calm the mind’s chatter, you can feel the observing eye within you. You may even be able to “see” from the point-of-view of that observing eye.

The Importance of Replacing the Skin’s Minerals

Dec 4th, 2010

The skin starts to lose minerals as the years go by. Besides the natural aging process, the environment, your lifestyle, and your beauty regimen are responsible for the skin’s mineral loss. Re-mineralizing the skin is not that complicated, especially with a little knowledge of your skin type and the right products on hand.
Re-mineralizing is not about putting exotic elements on your skin, such as gold, silver, and diamonds. I’m talking about something more affordable and more essential for your skin: magnesium, silica, copper, zinc and calcium.
